Woody Addition

Designed with the flexibility to become a secondary residence, this slender and vertical wooden clad form is a striking addition to the rear garden. Comprising a living area, bedroom + ensuite, study and laundry (future kitchenette), the new wing links into the existing cream brick house through the original laundry space.

The Silvertop Ash v-grooved cladding playfully shifts from vertical to horizontal to break up the form and reveal the various changes of floor level internally. As a singular house, the addition acts as a journey down into the garden space, with an outdoor dining space, sheltered by the form, providing a place for ultimate relaxation.
